Well, this was the first really quiet day we have had for many a week. We decided, as I told you before, to give away our Bronze Final tickets for today so our plans were simple, rest, rest, and more rest for the big day tomorrow. We had a relaxing breakfast and then headed to the local cinema for a movie, the latest offering of the Bond movies, Spectre. We booked yesterday because there might be crowds but that was unnecessary as there were about ten people in the theatre. It was a typical Bond movie, full of fighting, chases, stunts, and martinis, but in a way it was good to watch and was quite relaxing. Maybe it was the coffee and the comfortable seats! We took our lunch home, by now it was 2.00, and later headed into town for some last minute shopping. It was sad to be walking past our local supermarket, coffee shop, cinema and tube station for nearly the last time.
Our trip to town was fairly fruitless. We went back to Picadilly Circus, not a great idea as it was of tourists and locals doing what we were doing, found the shops we were looking for, but decided, despite the temptation of sale prices, that we could do as well at home. The suitcases were beginning to bulge as well so commonsense prevailed.

In the evening we had a couple of drinks with Carlotta and Gianfranco then headed off with them to the White Hart Pub to watch the Bronze Final game, South Africa v Argentina. We had a great meal and shared several drinks with our hosts. It was a great night and set us up for the big day tomorrow.
